the traveling bug has me in its thrall, roads in so many directions. which way lies my future? my own feet choose the route, wander slow. a microcosmic journey down my own garden path.
I am an artisan and craftsperson who has tried most every art or craft you can think of and need that creative outlet to keep from going insane. My favorites include embroidery, beading, knitting, genealogy and ...I think they are all my favorites. I love thrift shops and how secondhand items have so many stories to tell.
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.

I really do enjoy your blog, and I liked this little poem. What part of Texas are you in?
A little town north of Houston.
